Zudy Privacy Statement

Event or course registration: When you register online for a course or conference, we collect the information you provide us, including your name, contact information, affiliation, the name and location of the event, and attendance information. We use this information to ensure that you are properly registered for the event that you have selected, and to notify you about other courses that may be of interest to you. We also use this information in the course of fulfilling our obligations to provide the course to you, including providing you course materials and contacting you with respect to the course itself. In addition, student evaluation forms, together with the identity of the student completing the evaluation, may be made available to Zudy employees responsible for evaluating the quality of the event, including the instructors themselves.

Requests for more information: When you contact Zudy, we collect the information provided, including your name, contact information, affiliation, and the nature of your request. We use this information to provide the appropriate level of services to you and your company and it may be made available to Zudy employees responsible for Sales, Support and other customer interactions. Your contact information may be used to keep you informed of our software and services that may be of interest to you.

Marketing and communications channels: Zudy may use Twitter, Facebook or other social media outlets to market and promote its offerings and services. Any communications you make with Zudy using these media may be used by Zudy in accordance with this policy.

Hosted services: Zudy may collect detailed information regarding a user or corporation’s internal processes. This data will be used only in accordance with the scope of work (SoW) established with the customer and will be expunged from Zudy systems as stipulated in the terms of the agreement. No customer information or data will be shared with 3rd-parties not related to Zudy.

Customer data hosted on Zudy services remains the sole confidential property of the customer. Zudy will take all reasonable steps to secure and maintain the privacy of customer data and will only permit authorized employees to access customer data as requested by, and permitted by, the customer. Customer data is not shared or co-mingled with the data of other customers.

Zudy may occasionally engage the services of trusted 3rd-party consultants and suppliers in order to provide better products and services to customers. All contracted consultants, suppliers and vendors are subject to Zudy confidentiality and security policies and operate in compliance with the Zudy Privacy Statement.

Zudy may share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals if access to that information is reasonably necessary to:
- Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- Enforce applicable Terms of Service, Terms of Use, or other potential violation of Zudy contracts or rules, including investigation of potential violations.
- Detect, prevent, investigate, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
- Protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Zudy, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

Log Files: We gather certain information automatically from website visitors and store it in log files. This information may include IP addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). Zudy may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your Zudy account. This information is used to analyze trends, to administer the site, and to track how visitors interact with the site.

Cookies: A cookie is a small file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. Zudy may use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time and can be used when you return to our site to help identify you or allow you to log in, or on other third-party sites to communicate to you via online-marketing channels. Zudy safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, administrative and managerial procedures. The Zudy website uses TLS encryption on all web pages where personal information is submitted. This is designed to protect the confidentiality of your personal information as it is transmitted to us over the Internet.

The Zudy web site contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by Zudy. Zudy is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Zudy does not sell or trade your personal information to outside vendors, customers, partners, or agencies. We may at times receive contact lists from other organizations. We may send mailings such as brochures to these addresses. If you want to remove yourself from the third party’s database, you must contact them directly.

Zudy complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss – U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, respectively. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.
